Craig
Born 20 miles from Glasgow, Craig was always going to face a losing battle when it came to the bonnie game, and thus cried, “take me!” from a young age. Nonetheless, bored of the Old Firm’s dominance of all trophies domestic - and despite Motherwell being just up the road - he looked further afield and painted his flag in the red and white of, er, Manyoo (and yes, he has been, before you ask!).
Craig spent a gap year in Bolivia where he sampled the good, the bad, and the Luke Chadwick of South American futbol before coming home in 2001 to study for an honours degree at St Andrews where, among other things, he shared a sausage supper with HRH Prince William. While here, three crucial things happened: first, absence did indeed make the heart grow fonder, and in a town where the big sports are rugby and rugby, he was to travel to Motherwell’s games in the east, when he could afford it; secondly, he started writing for the student newspaper; and most importantly, he grew chest hairs.
Craig worked at a Scottish newspaper before returning to uni in August of 2006 to study teacher training. By summer 2007, he hopes to be officially known as Mr Cunningham both in classrooms and marriage registers - Amanda and he will tie the knot on 7/7/07!
