One more chance for Motherwell
By: Ian Rose | September 30th, 2008Today is the day that decides the fate of Motherwell’s 2008-09 European adventure. Can John Sutton, David Clarkson and the rest of the Well overcome the 1-0 loss to Nancy in France and bring back at least that one goal? Frankly, with the poor results that they’ve gotten in the league so far, an early exit from Europe might not be the worst thing. But for the good of both the SPL’s league ranking and its reputation, I’d love to see the boys in maroon and orange win and move on. Last year, Aberdeen made a run into the knockout stages of the UEFA Cup. Mon the Well to do the same.
