Personally, I'd rather see him go to Spain or someplace other than England, since Scotland has no internationals in leagues other than Scotland and England. He's a good player with potential for significantly more. However he's a better attacker, which would fit someone like Juande Ramos. But we can't have a young man whose defensive abilities still need more development because we have no defense as it is. Another time with better components and he would have been a great signing. But as we stand, he would have compounded our issues and it would set him back a few years. I personally think he would have been a bad signing for Spurs. Hutton is thought of as maybe the best attacking fullback in Britain right now, so Spurs maybe think they can switch up his position and put him on the left ...
