If you’re a Scottish footballer, moving to an Old Firm club is a bit like buying one of those Big Bertha drivers - nice club, but you’ll pay for it. Celtic and Rangers are fully aware that Scots can keep their benches cosy at a cheaper rate than those foreigners.
The picture shows a man who has never scored a goal for Celtic. And next to Pluto is Derek Riordan, the 20+/season striker who decided in the summer to opt for a different shade of green and white than that available to him at Hibs.
This time last season, he’d netted more goals than his total appearances for Celtic. But one Celtic man has sympathy. Peter Grant, now manager of Narrich City, reckons Delia could do with adding a pinch of Del to the canary mix.
