Good Weekend/Bad Weekend

By: Craig | November 6th, 2006

goodbad2.jpgGood weekend for…

Anthony Stokes - the first-ever man in the SPL’s (relatively short) history to bag two hat-tricks in two consecutive weekends, albeit against the bottom two. Suddenly the Bairns are knocking on the door of the top-six.

Owen Coyle - St Johnstone went top of the First Division with a convincing 2-0 victory over title rivals Partick Thistle. One position above them, Dunfermline are taking notice.

Craig Levein - for fashioning the result of the weekend from the stands.

Bad weekend for…

Paul Le Guen - he’s saying nothing, but Rangers now have more chance of winning the Uefa Cup than the league.

Craig Gordon - the Jambos’ efforts at Celtic Park deserved at least a point - shame their keeper’s didn’t.

Setanta Sports, The Bank of Scotland, theoffside.com - …and anyone else with an interest in a competitive SPL. This time, it really will be over by Christmas.
