Levein on standby as Dunfermline un-Leished

leishmanbackateep17may2005.jpgScottish football’s honorary walrus has had quite enough, thankyouverymuch, and will not be at the helm of this year’s East End Park Relegation Dogfight (ever wondered why it’s never anything but a dogfight?). With Burns Night now only three months away, Jim Leishman will surely now have plenty of time to devote to poetry without letting side-issues like SPL survival get in the way.

Step up Craig Levein, without a contract since the Leicester City gig fell through. The former Jambos manager had been giving Raith Rovers a leg-up since September, though on a purely voluntary basis. But with Leishman expected to return to the boardroom, an announcement is expected any minute…
