SPL Words of the Week from Anatoliy Karobochka

This week’s quote is from Hearts football director Anatoliy Karobochka, who has finally explained, briefly and succinctly, what it takes to win a Champions League football match.

He told the Scotsman:
“Spartak are totally capable of getting past Celtic though. The main thing is that they don’t concede a goal and score themselves.”

That’s right, folks. It’s the team that scores more, and concedes less. Now we know why Hearts goes so far east for their playing and coaching talent - this sort of insight is priceless. He may want to turn that razor-sharp logic to his own side, though, who failed to score, and conceded five times, to Celtic this weekend.
