SPL Words of the Week, from Craig Levein
By: Ian Rose | August 15th, 2007I’m starting a new feature on this blog, due to the outpouring of great quotes from the SPL lately, especially from the managers. Each SPL week, I’ll pick a particular gem from the mouth of a player or manager and post it here. It won’t be nearly as popular as Martha’s WAG of the Week series, but how’s one supposed to compete with that?
This week, our inaugural Words of the Week come from Dundee United manager Craig Levein. Here he is, discussing the terrible call referee Brian Winter made on Monday, handing United fullback Christian Kalvenes a straight red for what turned out on review to be a perfectly clean tackle:
From the Telegraph:
“I wonder if the referee will refund the fans’ money for coming down here and I wonder if each of my players will invoice him for their bonus,” said Levein. “I won’t say he’s incompetent and I won’t say he’s useless: I won’t say anything that gets me into trouble.”
