Few stories encapsulate the slave-like devotion and yet utter buffoonery of the average football fan than this one today of a quite unique Edinburgh Tattoo. Hearts supporter Stan Thomson is all set to go under the laser just six months after splashing out £1000 of his hard-earned on an almighty back tattoo of just seven letters. His friends are calling him names, y’see. And why would anyone wish to burn their lucre in such a way with just 11 shopping days left?! I’ll give you a clue: it starts with R and rhymes with ’stroganoff’.
All of a sudden, everything makes perfect sense.
